SSC CGL 2024: Option-Cum-Preference Window for Tier 2 Exam Candidates Now Open
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has activated the option-cum-preference selection window for candidates who appeared in the SSC CGL 2024 Tier 2 examination. Aspirants can now submit their post and department preferences by visiting the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
According to the official notification, the deadline to complete the SSC CGL 2024 option-cum-preference form is February 27, 2025, until 5 PM. To proceed, candidates must log in through the Candidate Login section and navigate to the “My Application” tab to select their desired posts and departments.
The SSC has emphasized that candidates can modify their preferences only within this given timeframe. The last submitted preference will be treated as final, and no changes will be entertained afterward. Once choices are selected, candidates must ensure they click the “SUBMIT” button to successfully complete the process.

SSC CGL 2024: Tier 1 & Tier 2 Exam Updates, How to Fill the Preference Form
The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2024 was successfully conducted in computer-based mode from September 9 to 26, 2024. The Tier 1 results were declared on December 5, 2024, shortlisting candidates for the Tier 2 exam, which was held from January 18 to 20, 2025, and on January 31, 2025.
