1. Nationality Requirements

• Must be one of the following:

  • Indian citizen, or

  • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or

  • Tibetan refugee who settled in India before January 1, 1962, or

  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African nations, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India

2. Educational Qualification

• Aspirants must have one of the following from a recognized institution:

  • A three‑year Diploma in Engineering/Technology, or

  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech.)

• Qualifications must correspond to the specific JE post (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, IT, etc.)

3. Age Limit (as on January 1, 2025)

• Minimum age: 18 years

• Maximum age: 36 years

  • Note: Some sources mention 33 years, but the prevailing figure in the 2024 notification is 36 years
