The Indian Army has officially released the notification for Indian Army Recruitment 2025, inviting applications from unmarried men and women, including Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel, for the Short Service Commission (Non-Tech) as NCC Special Entry. A total of 76 vacancies have been announced for this recruitment.

Selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai and will be appointed for an initial 10-year tenure, extendable for another 4 years. The selection process includes the Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview and Medical Examination. The Indian Army Recruitment 2025 offers 76 vacancies under the NCC Special Entry scheme:

NCC Men

• Total Vacancies: 70 (63 for General Category and 07 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army personnel)

NCC Women

• Total Vacancies: 06 (05 for General Category and 01 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army personnel)

Tenure for Indian Army Recruitment 2025

Selected candidates will be initially appointed for 10 years, which can be extended for an additional 4 years based on eligibility and performance.

Qualification for Indian Army Recruitment 2025

For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:

• A Degree from a recognized university with a minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• Final-year students can also apply if they have at least 50% marks in the first two/three years of their degree course.
• Candidates must secure an overall 50% aggregate in the final degree to qualify.

For Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel:

• A Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• NCC ‘C’ Certificate is NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties.

Probation Period for Indian Army Recruitment 2025

Candidates will be on probation for 6 months from the date of receiving their commission.

Selection Procedure for Indian Army Recruitment 2025

The selection process consists of two stages:

1. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at selection centers in Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, and Jalandhar.
2. Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the SSB Interview will undergo a medical test.
